Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge’s 14th annual children’s fishing derby was held on June 18, 2011. Even though January 23rd was a bitterly cold day, that didn’t stop more than 60 participants from enjoying the activities at the Moosehorn Wildlife Refuge. The Moosehorn Refuge staff worked hard grooming and marking the best trails and even making a safe place for the children to slide all for the Fun Day activities. Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge and the Friends of Moosehorn's 12th Annual Children's Fishing Derby was a great success, despite the relentless drizzle and cool temperatures.
